Kate DiCamillo è nata a Filadelfia e vive a Minneapolis. Ancora giovanissima ha realizzato il sogno di molti autori: il suo primo romanzo, Il cane più brutto del mondo, non solo è stato pubblicato da un’importante casa editrice americana, ma è divenuto un successo mondiale da cui è stato tratto un film.
